Ballet Theatre has merged with Odasz Dance Theatre!

Ballet Theatre was founded more than 20 years ago by Mary Kay Touris. She built Ballet Theatre into the finest program in the Rochester area by emphasizing an approach of teaching through positive reinforcement and cooperation. Mary Kay passed away several years ago, and with her passed many of the elements that made Ballet Theatre what it was.

Just as Mary Kay grew Ballet Theatre, Ms. Jessica Odasz has been growing Odasz Dance Theatre over the past several years. She has built ODT into an excellent school, emphasizing ballet as the foundation for all dance forms. She also formed the Western New York Ballet Company, which is focused on bringing professional level ballet performances and performing opportunities for aspiring dancers. Ms. Odasz and her staff will bring a renewed excitement and energy to the studio.

In combining the studios, new and existing students will experience:

New students, new friends - we are combining the schools which means there will be more students, new faces, greater energy.

Enthusiastic and energetic teachers - In addition to Ms. Odasz, there is great team of teachers with a wide array of experience.

More performance opportunities - Dance is a performance art. Students need to be given opportunities to perform and demonstrate what they've worked so hard on. There will be competition and choreography opportunities and of course a fun, rewarding and creative year-end performance.

Please stop in for the Open House this Saturday 2:30pm - 5:00pm. Talk with the teachers and find out what a great year it will be.

Classes begin next Monday, September 14th.
