Our Teachers

Julianne Demming and Marianne Reilly –Dalton bring to Ballet Theatre a wealth of experience and knowledge in dance. Both former professional ballerinas now committed to sharing their knowledge and teaching experience with your child.

Ms.Demming is a founding member of the Draper Dance Theatre, currently Rochester City Ballet. In addition to dancing as soloist she served as a director in the companies’ formative years.

Ms. Demming has also appeared with the New Windsor Ballet , The Hartford Ballet , New York City Ballet at Saratoga Performing Arts Center and the Woodstock Playhouse.

Ms. Reilly –Dalton relocated to the Rochester are in 1990 after a performing career with Empire State Ballet, Boston Ballet II and the Boston Repertory Ballet.

Ms. Reilly-Dalton is currently on the faculty at SUNY Brockport and Hobart William Smith Colleges. She was a faculty member at the Draper Center for dance Education for 9 years. Ms Reilly-Dalton has been a guest teacher at the Universities of Buffalo and Maryland.

Many of Ms. Demmings’ and Ms. Reilly-Daltons’ students are currently in major dance companies throughout the United States and Europe. All of our former students carry along with them a life long respect for the exacting discipline and decorum of the art form.
